I have some breaking news for your guys. No, it’s not Microsoft buying Yahoo or Google or whomever. It’s about the best keyword tool a man (or a gal) could have. I am talking about the Overture Keyword Tool. Overture’s keyword tool, while not accurate, was an awesome tool that helped guesstimate traffic for keywords. Not only that, I found the keyword suggestion feature to be very useful as well. Unfortunately, the tool became unreliable a while ago, and WordTracker informed us all that we should not rely on results from Overture to sink a SEO campaign. At the time, you could still get to the page, but now it seems that Overture keyword is dead for good (Yahoo! could soon join Overture). Not a biggie as there are millions of tools out there that help you come up with a good estimate for your keyword set, but I just wanted to take this moment to say a eulogy for Yahoo! Keyword Tool. … OK. Done! So what’s your favorite keyword tool?
