EzineArticles and Article Dashboard are two of the best article marketing services on the market. The articles that you publish on these sites can drive you traffic and help you climb the rankings on Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. But you shouldn’t just limit yourself to these two sites if you want to maximize your traffic from this channel. There are hundreds of article marketing services out there, and what you don’t want to do is ignore those smaller directories that can help you drive lots of traffic to your website. And you don’t want to sit and submit all your articles to 200 directories by hand. That’s why premium article marketing directories matter. They save you time and money at the same time.

Here are 4 top premium article directory services that can help you get a whole lot of traffic to your website:

My Article Network: My Article Network is an innovative service that lets you get a whole lot of back-links and traffic from the blog network that is My Article Network. Your articles are put on highly ranked websites in your niche, and you not only get relevant back-links, but a whole lot of targeted traffic. Best of all, you can put links inside the body of your articles (unlike EzineArticles).

Article Marketing Automation: very similar to My Article Network, but Article Marketing Automation has its own collection of highly relevant sites that you can submit your articles to and get links back to your website. Their goal is to have 60,000 top article sites that you can publish your content to. Not a bad way to earn a whole lot of back-links.

Isnare: Isnare.com is a dear to my heart as I have been using it for my link building campaigns. Isnare is not only an article directory, it’s also an article submission service. You can submit your articles to up to 40,000 sites by using Isnare’s premium service. Each submission is going to cost you $2 which is a steal if you think about it.

AffSphere: AffSphere is a premium article marketing service that lets you publish your articles and get a whole lot of links back to your sites. What I like about AffSphere is the fact that there aren’t many limitations on what you can put in your article’s body. You also get a piece of Adsense revenue from your articles. You can also get a lot of impressions but submitting a banner. You could say it’s the glorified version of EzineArticles.

Ultimately, there are many services that you can try to start building traffic and climb the rankings. You shouldn’t just settle on EzineArticles (no matter how well it performs for your articles). The more links you drive to your site from relevant sites and the more traffic you get, the more successful your business will be.

Your take: what’s been your experience with the above services?

If you have been reading the latest SEO blogs, you have probably realized that article marketing is making a comeback. In reality, article marketing really never left us to begin with. It’s not a tactic that brings you millions of new visitors, but if you need a little push to give your site some momentum, article marketing is the best way to go. I have personally been writing articles for over 4 years now, and I keep going back to it when I need more traffic for my websites.

Matt Callen’s latest service, MyArticleNetwork, is designed to help you get as much traffic as possible from your articles. He has created his own article submission network to help you gain traffic from distributing your articles on thousands of partner websites. MyArticleNetwork.com allows you to submit multiple versions of your articles to the network and have it posted on network sites in random. You can also track the number of times that your article has been submitted and the backlinks that you have gotten. In other words, you can measure your efforts and find out what articles have worked for you.

Here is how the system works. You have site owners who want to get fresh content on a consistent basis. These guys sign up for the service and agree to publish articles from the network. The authors write articles for the network and have them posted as “guest blog posts” on these sites. Unlike regular article marketing services, you can actually put hyperlinks in the body of your articles, which means there is no need to play with the author box anymore. Not only that, you can even embed YouTube videos in your article.

My Article Network provides you with article spinning feature as well. You obviously have to read the instructions to get this right, but it’s a nice feature to have.

My Article Network is a subscription service. Unlike EzineArticles, your articles are shown throughout the network as long as you are a paying member. But think about it. You are getting your posts distributed on hundreds of websites, and you are no longer limited to the restrictions set forth by most article directories. Now that’s what I call Article Marketing 2.0. As long as you can write killer blog posts, there is no limit to how much traffic you can get with this service.

MyArticleNetwork is currently closed, but you can use this backdoor to register for a free account. And you’ll have access to tutorials to get ready for the big launch in April.

Article marketing is one of the most overrated but still underused tactic when it comes to search engine optimization. If you check sites such as Article Dashboard, and e-zine articles, there are many low quality articles in there that are posted for the simple reason of getting a link back. Not many people really do article marketing right. But does it even matter anymore?

I think it does. But if your do justice to your articles. A lot of people put together a few sentences, add a few keywords, and expect articles to do wonders for their sites. But the truth is, if you do not provide a unique value with your articles, you are pretty much wasting your time. Think about it. Why would anyone want to waste a click on your footer link if your article offers nothing of value?

So what do I mean by providing unique value? That really depends on your target audience. If you have a website about recipes, you can talk about ways to find new recipes, or difference between Texan and Floridan foods. Now I am no chef and don’t know much about recipes, but you can find millions of article ideas by going through forums and even Answer sites such as Yahoo! answer. A successful article is one that not only has the right keywords but is compelling enough that makes people want to click on your links. Anything short of that, and you may get more out of an episode of Grey’s Anatomy than writing articles.
