Many companies have trouble proper tracking their SEO efforts. These companies have traffic coming through Google Adwords, Yahoo Networks, and also from the organic side of search, and sometimes they don’t quite get the pure SEO numbers right. In addition, performing SEO competitive intelligence analysis could be difficult and time-consuming as well. Hitwise however has just added a functionality with which you can figure out how much traffic your competitors are getting from their paid search campaigns and SEO campaign respectively. Also, you can track search terms and understand what terms have been targeted by your competitors. There are obviously other tools out there that provide you with some of these functionalities, but Hitwise has clearly moved to address the concerns of its clients about properly tracking SEO and PPC results through Hitwise. But, if you think Hitwise is cheap, you are in for a rude awakening!
