All Hail Saint Peter Kent

Finally, after two years of waiting, Search Engine Optimization For Dummies (third edition) is out! Believe it or not I ordered this book a year ago and received an email today that the book has finally shipped. When it comes to SEO, there are only two real books that you need to read to get started. Forget about all the hype and other fancy books with fancy titles and even fancier authors. Peter Kent and Aaron Wall are the best teachers when it comes to SEO.

Aaron’s SEOBook is still the top everyday resource for all your SEO needs. He is truly one of the few guys who provides you with information that you can use on an everyday basis to optimize your site and improve your rankings (check out his videos for a taste of his training material).

But Peter Kent’s book is the best book out there for the starters and for those who have some experience with SEO but want to be in a position to become an advanced level SEO professional. Keep that in mind that you don’t become an Aaron Wall by reading this book. When it comes to SEO, you should also check out the blogs and forums on an everyday basis and never stop learning. Having said that, if you don’t know the basic and intermediate concepts, you can’t build a solid SEO foundation and that could be problematic for your SEO efforts.

I personally can’t say good enough things about search engine optimization for dummies. The latest and best book on SEO is finally out. Now here is the challenge… Can you finish up reading it by the end of this week!?

Ultimate Guide to Search Engine Optimization Released

Finally after a few months of waiting for this book, ultimate guide to SEO was released and shipped by Amazon this week. I just got my own copy so I can’t tell much about the content of the book until I read it, but it looks very promising so far. I asked author a few days ago about an advanced copy, but unfortunately there was nothing available or so I was told. From what I have seen so far, this book is perfect for beginners. But that’s it! If you are an expert already or if you are looking to learn SEO Black hat tactics, check blogs and don’t for these techniques in books. This book is certainly good, but I still consider Peter Kent’s book the top dog in this category.

Book Hightlight: Online Reputation Management

Finally, there is a book out there that discusses how one can effectively manage online reputation manages for all kinds of businesses on the net. ORM is certainly a hot word right now as many are claiming to be experts in online reputation management without really having a proof for that claim, but with Radically Transparent: Monitoring and Managing Reputations Online, you can learn how to use the best practices out there to tackle the most complex ORM problems. This book is out already on Amazon but is limited and is shipped on a first come, first served basis.
